WISEflow Release Schedule
Understand the schedule for our maintenance windows when new features are released to WISEflow
We are constantly developing new features and API endpoints to enhance the WISEflow platform.
At the beginning of 2024, we have transitioned to a fixed yearly release calendar. It is important to note that release windows will be placed in the same calendar weeks every year to provide transparency and customer confidence to plan accordingly, which we understand to be important to all customers.
Releases will always take place on Friday evenings. In the evening on these dates, WISEflow will be unavailable for a few hours to enable our Development Team to complete the system upgrade.
Updates to the Lockdown Browser and Device Monitor
There will be fixed service windows in the year when new versions of the lockdown browser and Device Monitor will become available. We plan to update the lockdown browser versions and Device Monitor with the release windows in week 11, 30 and 43.
However, it may be necessary for updates to occur outside of these confirmed windows owing to security improvements and/or updated operating systems. We will notify customers of any updates to the lockdown browser or the Device Monitor outside of these fixed windows as early as possible.
Important Events and Communication Leading up to a Release
6 Weeks Before a Release Date
- SYCAmore is updated with an overview for each new feature, API endpoint or maintenance work due in the next release.
- Our WISEflow Status pages are updated confirming the maintenance window. Click the Subscribe button at the top of the status page to receive email updates of the planned maintenance or updates on the status of WISEflow.
- New upcoming features will be available on the WISEflow Stage Environment on Tuesday following a release.
- For releases in week 11, 30 and 43: The versions of the new lockdown browser will be announced and updates to the Device Monitor confirmed. New versions will be available to be downloaded in the production environment.
4 Weeks Before a Release Date
- Customers receive the first email notification. SYCAmore will be updated with descriptions of the features to be released. The Service Centre will be updated with more detailed information about the upcoming features and functionalities. SYCAmore will link to the relevant articles.
For releases in week 5, the first email announcement may be sent out one week later, depending on the Christmas holidays.
Week of the Release
- Customers receive the second email notification. A link to the release video explaining the new features and functionalities will be included.
- The release video will also be made available in SYCAmore: Next Release.
On the Day of the Release
- Updates will be sent out about the scheduled maintenance to everybody who is subscribed to the operational status pages.
- For releases in week 11, 30 and 43: The newest versions of the lockdown browser and Device Monitor will become required after the release.
