Changes to Release Cycle from 2027 onwards
From 2027, we will reduce the amount of release windows to seven in total and move the June release window out of exam peak season.
We would like to inform you of a change to our general release cycle which will take effect in June of next year.
From 2027, the releases currently planned for week 24 in June and week 30 in July will be replaced by one release window in week 26 (June/July). This means that there will be seven release windows per year instead of the eight release windows we have had so far.
Week 24 is still peak exam season in most of our markets, and we have seen cases where it was difficult for institutions to plan around this release. The exam activity is significantly lower in week 26 making it a more suitable time for a release.
Week 30 also falls within the main summer holiday period in several markets, when staffing and availability may be more limited. Moving this release allows us to plan more reliably across regional differences, maintain consistent support for each release, and support more family-friendly scheduling.
Overall, this change reduces the number of planned release windows from eight to seven per year, resulting in less planned downtime for the system. It also moves the June/July release activity to a period that is easier for most institutions to plan around and easier for us to support consistently.
We hope that you will welcome this change.
