Withdrawing a Grade

Understand the specific scenarios in which a grade can be withdrawn after having been submitted

Before a grade is finalised, it is possible for the assessor to withdraw the grade. This can only be achieved before the system has finalised the grade i.e. before a co-assessor submits a matching grade or a reviewer approves the final grade.

Once a grade is withdrawn, changes can be made before the final grade is submitted once again. This can be repeated only until the grade is finalised i.e. before a co-assessor submits a matching grade or a reviewer approves the final grade.

If appropriate, a Withdraw button will become visible as part of the Grade window in the marking tool:

It will also be visible in the Marking Overview pane of the assessor's flow page:

Assessors can also add a comment to accompany the withdrawal which will be displayed in the Grade Audit Trail.
